Hierbabuena beach is located in the entry of the Narrow of Gibraltar between the municipalities of Vejer de la Frontera and Barbate (Cadiz).This semi urban beach of sand is 950 m long and 70 m wide and its occupancy level is normally low. It doesn’t have the commodities of touristic beaches and is usually visited by young people to practice aquatic and nautical sports, specially windsurf. As it’s already known by the fans of that sport, this beach, as well as others of the littoral between Tarifa and Cadiz, is one of the best places to practice surf. It’s close to the Barbate Sports Port, with views to the Natural Park of la Breña and Marismas de Barbate with leafy pine forests, where scuba diving and fishing is practiced apart from windsurf.It has an ecosystem of dunes, its sand is fine and golden, it has easy access and its condition is a wild beach. It’s considered one of the natural spectacles of greater beauty of all the Atlantic littoral of Andaluz.
